I'll Always Have A Job As Long As People Keep Flushing ...

Sorry to correct you, but you may be wrong. I retired after teaching science for over thirty years. I'm now a successful environmental chemical analyst. I took the job, at first, just for the medical insurance, but now, I've become quite good at it, at least according to my supervisor, and my paycheck. Eight more years at the lab, then the Peace Corps, then full retirement. That's my plan, and I'm sticking to it. Do you think that there's a need for good basketball officials in third world countries?

I specialize in Ammonia, Organic Nitrogen, and Total Kjeldahl Nitrogen analyses, in surface and saline waters, domestic and industrial wastes, soils, and landfill leachates. I prep and analyze, while I have two assistants who prep during different shifts, and I do their analyses during my day shift. I also do Conductivity, Resistivity, and Salinity analyses in drinking, surface and saline waters, domestic and industrial wastes, soils, and landfill leachates. I also analyze Cyanates (not Cyanides) in industrial wastes, but I only get about four, or five samples, a year, all from the same factory. No field work. They bring the samples to me, thank God. I'm certified in all the New England states, and New York state, to do these analyses. I just passed all my Method Detectable Level studies, and I'm all set to analyze for 2009.
