violation? player jumps for a shot, drops ball
 

I think it is just want to be sure here.
Player catches ball goes up for a shot and seeing it will get blocked just drops the ball. Then he picks it up. Violation?
This is not a fumble or an airball.

Or- player dribbles the ball then goes for a jump shot- same.

3. Player catches ball, goes for a shot without leaving the floor, tippe toes then drops it.

1. Traveling for starting a dribble after lifting the pivot foot.
2. Traveling or double dribble.
3. Legal play.
