Game fees?

Anyone know what the pay for college conferences are? Iheard from 650 to 800 plus per deim

Ch1town Tue Jan 13, 2009 12:47pm

Depending on which division & conference you're working, it could be much lower or much higher.

GoodwillRef Tue Jan 13, 2009 12:52pm

BC68

The conferences set the price. Some pay mileage, per deim, and some are flat fees. Prices may differ from men's to women's basketball.

Is there any web site that would list the fees?

I was at a camp this summer with quite a few well respected d1 officials in the MVC and Big 12 and they say Welmer wont get off the couch for anything less than 2 grand.

That includes per diem and travel. Game fees are just "for the game."

Think about it from a typical HS official standpoint. We get $35/game for a Varsity Game (3-person). That doesn't include mileage ($0.585/mile). I called one VG game earlier this season (3-person), and made $148 (+/-). So I can say I made $148 for the game, but that would be misleading.

That being said, I have a friend D1-Women's who said he went to work a tournament once (D1), and called two games. He received a check for just over $4500. Now that I could live with . . .

Yeah, but the games were in Hawaii. Expensive chunk taken out of that check. On the other hand -- free vacation.

Wow, 35 for a Varsity? In Missouri, I always make at least $50 per varsity plus .40 cents a mile.

BillyMac Tue Jan 13, 2009 10:51pm

All Sub-Varsity: $54.75 ...

Texas. University Interscholastic League (UIL) controls our game fees and mileage. Link: http://www.uil.utexas.edu/athletics/...s_payscale.pdf

6 minute quarters = $35
7 minute quarters = $45
8 minute quarters = $55

Add $15 if you only do one game.

40 cents/mile
