Who watches the jumpers?

In NCAAW 3-person mechanics: On a jump ball, who watches to see if the jumpers violate? The CCA manual doesn't say.

Thanks!

Not sure about NCAA-W. However, in Fed, it is the Referee (or designated tosser) primary responsibility.

The U1 has the jumpers, U2 has the other eight players.

U1 has the jumpers; U2 has the 8 non-jumpers.

That's the same in FED.

And this is the reason I am glad my state stopped paying attention to the FED on mechanics. This has to be one of the dumbest mechanics out there if they want the Referee who to focus that much on the jumpers. For one the Referee should not have the whistle in their mouth and secondly, they are too close to watch much anything. ;)

Peace

Absolutely, the FED needs to change this so that U1 chops the clock and has the jumpers.

Agreed.

Amen on the whistle, was at a college camp and got ripped for leaving it in my mouth. Not something you want to do.

better than getting your mouth ripped for having it in there.

I have seen several guys need stitches to repair their mouths after getting hit with the whistle in their mouth.
