Blow the Whistle on Cancer (r) Campaign

I wanted to share some good news:

My association is using pink whistles for the next two weeks to show their support for cancer research. As of late last week, our officials had donated over $1600 to the Jimmy V Foundation.

I am hopeful that the dollar amount will increase but even if it doesn't it, it has accomplished what I wanted to do and that is raise money for cancer, for our association to be a part of a larger officiating community by participating and to build some unity. We have never done anything like this in the past.

I will be using mine in memory of my friends who have or currently are battling cancer.

I thought there was only one week designated for this? I've got mine on order.

The weekend of Jan 30th - Feb 1st.

I received a pink whistle in the mail...unfortunately I'm not working a game that weekend.

Our HS association is doing the Pink Whistle thing from Jan 12-24. Have raised almost $2,500 so far from donations of our officials.

Great cause!

Gents aren't comfortable enough in their manhood to rock the pink?
