Backcourt question

Team A is inbounding on the endline after a made masket by B. A1 throws a baseball pass. The pass goes into A's frontcourt in the air where it is deflected by B1, then by A2, then it goes into A's backcourt where one of A's players catches it. What do you have?

I have nothing. In the play you described, front court possession has not occurred.

Good. We didn't screw it up then. It was at the end of the game with less than 10 seconds left and Team B really wanted a backcourt called.

I don't know if you guys noticed but Snaq has 8,900 posts. I think he may be exhausted giving out rule references and interps. There is more than what is stated here that makes this a "play on" sitch.

... a lot of noise in the crowd. Because all of the 'officials' in the stands KNOW that is a backcourt violation!!! Oh these refs tonight!!!!!

Yeah we had that too. This was 3-man and I was the C and was standing right at half court.
