A good reason for keeping spectators off the court at halftime

8th grade boys, varsity. Foul on shooter. We line them up and shooter realizes he has blood on his arm. I notice there is blood on the floor and we have to wait while this is properly cleaned up.

Then, as we start to get going again, I look down and realize that there is poo on the floor. A big, squished clump. Human.

EWW. Now we wait again as that is cleaned up. Meanwhile players and refs are all checking their shoes.

Did they both come from the same individual? Because THEN you (or THEY rather) might have a problem...

I'm really disappointed none of you has come up with this:

So, Rita, what did you do to scare the crap outta the player?

Very similar experience doing a girl's game two weeks ago. Went to report a foul, partner comes up behind me and asks the table for someone to go clean "that" up. I turned around, and there in the middle of the lane was a...well,...er,...something that would never come out in a boy's game.

All the girls went to their bench areas, some giggling, some saying, "ewwww...", but no one ever admitted it was theirs.

Actually it was.

How did you know this "inside information"?

Just a guess...I assume the offender was a "first stringer"?

I still can't get over Rita saying poo.

This game was probably about 28 days following the last occurrence.

I swear this is my last statement about this, but . . .

Are you implying the coach pulled the first string? That would explain how it got there!

I can see the plug getting pulled on this thread pretty quickly.
