Inadvertent Horn

I'm looking for a ruling/case on what to do with an inadvertent horn. I've searched through here and read what officials say they do but I can't find anything to support it.

Does the degree matter? In other words, if 9 of the 10 stop but #10 is the one with the ball and he/she continues onto an uncontested basket does that influence how we handle it?

According to rule 6-7.5 The ball becomes dead on an officials whistle, it says nothing about a horn, play on is the order until a whistle sounds is what I tell the players.

2.11.3 SITUATION: ...If the scorer signals while the ball is live, the official should ignore the signal if a scoring play is in progress. Otherwise the official may stop play to determine the reason for the scorer's signal.

So you should allow play to continue. If the players stop during a scoring play, count the basket. If they all stop, stop play.
