End-Game Play Question
 

I'm a soccer guy, so pardon my ignorance if this is a ridiculously easy question:

I'm watching an NCAA game Saturday. Home team up 2, final seconds. Visiting team comes down the floor looking for a game-winning 3.

Shooter goes up and gets the shot off.

Then the buzzer sounds.

After the horn, but before the shooter lands, he is either bumped or cross-checked (depending on which radio broadcast you're listening to). No call from the officials.

My question: If the contact (which most observers agree would have been a foul at any other point in the game) happens in the act of shooting but after the buzzer sounds, is it still a foul?

Haven't seen the play, but it can be by rule. The ball is not dead until the try ends in this case; even though the horn has sounded.

That said, if it didn't affect the shot....

Of course, if the shooter was still vulnerable....
