Timeout - End of Game

Team A scores with very few seconds left. Team B coach requests a TO. While I'm blowing the whistle to grant the TO I see the clock says 2.2. By the time the clock operator stops the clock there are now 1.2 seconds left.

Do I have them reset it? Do I allow for a lag between the whistle and the stoppage?

I can't find any rules/cases on this one.

5-10-1 & 2

The referee may correct an obvious mistake by the timer to start or stop the clock properly only when he/she has definite information relative to the time involved.

If the referee determines that the clock was not started or stopped properly, or if the clock did not run, an official's count or other official information can be used to make a correction.

"Lag time" was removed from the rule book effective for the 2007/2008 season, I believe.

Thanks. I've been reading this site for a few years and I thought I remembered the "lag time" concept.
