One of the top girls in our state, Shoni Schimmel of Portland's Franklin HS (9-1 so far this season) sprained her ankle in a tournament last week and will be out two to four weeks. Last year, she was the class 5A Player of the Year in the state and transferred to the class 6A (highest level) school this year. She was averaging 29.2 points in her first six games this year. Not bad for a point guard. The team might not suffer too much as her younger sister, Jude, is taking over her position. Jude is averaging 24.0 points in her last three games. Again, not bad.
Ya' gotta think hard about a coach who runs an offense that depends so much on the point guard for all that scoring. Oh yeah - it's their mom.

Just Call Me "Pat"
"Freddy" is my discussion board pseudoname. Most people just call me "Pat" cuz they don't know what I am.
