PIAA REF Hope I never have it again. I had a boys varsity game the other night. All went well, very good game with the home team winning by 1. The visting team team missed a shot at the buzzer The next night the visiting coach an older guy in his mid 60's who has coached at the school for years as well at 2 d1 programs in his career died of a heart attack.

(Maybe a bad choice of words) The next night the visiting coach an older guy in his mid 60's who has coached at the school for years as well at 2 d1 programs in his career died of a heart attack. I hope my officiating didn't play a part in it. I think your entire post is a poor choice of words.
PIAA REF Wasn't meant to be, it was a very shocking experience. I never thought in a million years that I would ever have to experience that. And I pray that I won't have to ever again, it really shook me up. He was an excellent coach and someone I respected very much and enjoyed reffing his games. He will be missed immensely.

Adam rockyroad wroteNo it's not...the last line - maybe. But not the entire post. Agreed. You guys (not Rocky) were entirely to rough on the OP.
deecee Snaqwells wroteAgreed. You guys (not Rocky) were entirely to rough on the OP. You missed the heart attack pun that was thrown in before.
Adam deecee wroteYou missed the heart attack pun that was thrown in before. No, I saw it; and that was, to me, the only poorly worded part. No way the whole post was "a poor choice of words," a comment to which you expressed agreement.
rockyroad deecee wroteYou missed the heart attack pun that was thrown in before. You assume it was a pun. Heart-breaking loss is quite often used to refer to close game results...do you always assume the worst of people? Or just of other officials?
JRutledge I have to agree, there was a little over-reaction here. Maybe a bad choice of words, but it appears he did not do so to make a malicious joke. Well it is not the first time we over-react to something here. 😉 Peace
