Know definitions
 

As mentioned above read the rules and know your defintions

Here is the play we had a couple of weeks ago in GV game.

Held Ball (notice I did not say jump ball) Team A has ball for AP throw-in.
A1 has ball and starts her throw when A2 commits a foul (illegal screen)

I reported it as illegal screen not team control

By the time I had reported the foul I forgot about the AP throw-in ( had a good table to remind me)

Classic casebook play but if you know the definitions you know that

Arrow does not change until throw-in ends. Foul occurred before throw-in ended. B gets ball due to foul A keeps the arrow...

If we did not know the TC/PC/Throw-in definitions we would have screwed this all up.... Got it right because we knew the defintions...
