False Multiple Foul situation

This didn't happen in one of my games, it was told to me by someone watching the game.

Team B is called for a block in a block/charge situation. This was the 6th team foul against Team B. B's coach doesn't like the call and is given a T, which is the 7th team foul.

I'm pretty sure I know what to do here. I'll tell you what the officials did after a few people answer.

What do you do?

This one is as easy as they come. A gets two free throws (any eligible shooter) and the ball at the division line. Foul count is now at 7.

Let me guess, the game officials gave the bonus shots thinking the 7th foul was retroactive.

I'm with Snaq on this one.

Yeah, it was pretty easy to figure out what they did. It scares me that some officials don't know simple stuff like this. The bad thing is that it was a JV game with veteran officials.

Thanks!!!

This precise situation occurred tonite. Thanks to the worthy review of the situation this posting prompted me to pursue, we got it right. While sorting things out (the table was confused), the thought came vividly to mind, "Hey, I just studied this situation..."
Thanks to all.
