Jim Burr and Welmers Shoes

What are they wearing this year. I saw their new shoes on TV the other night and wanted to know what type and brand they are

Does it really matter for them? Did you see how many times that whole crew got passed in transition?

Need to go to 4-person crews.

They looked good if you're a mall walker............I thought they were hideous.

Just me.

I as wondering if they added speed to refs over 50. If they do I need a pair!

If we went to white shoes, would BillyMac change his title to Billy "white shoes" Mac? Inquiring minds want to know? :D

I think these are them. Some players had them in my games this afternoon, and they seemed to match what I've been seeing on TV. Nike Shox Slam is the name of them. Look right to y'all?

Adam Sat Dec 06, 2008 05:53pm

Ha!

With my bum knee and now back problems, I may want to get a pair as silly as they look.

It appeared the goal was to see who could have the biggest white logo last year.

It now appears things have went to who can have the greatest amount of while on their shoe.

Must be soft on the old feet. good shoes are the lifeline of a old ref!

Contrary to popular belief, Shox are actually a very poor shoe to wear on the basketball court, and in general. If you have back problems, I recommend avoiding Shox.

These could have been Welmer's shoe, but I feel Burr's footwear had more white. In all honesty, Burr's shoes looked like NFL Reebok cleat. :D

BillyClyde 68 Sun Dec 07, 2008 02:25pm

I wih they still made the Converse Running Refs! they were classic

BillyClyde 68 Mon Dec 08, 2008 01:32pm

These do not look like the shoes that Burr was wearing, are the shox not good shoes to call in. I need a pair and was going to buy these?

BillyClyde 68 Fri Dec 12, 2008 12:30pm

Because you are clearly an authority on shoes.

TravelinMan Fri Dec 12, 2008 01:09pm

How about shoes for refs over 60?

BillyClyde 68 Fri Dec 12, 2008 04:03pm

That is why I am trying to find out what Stevie and Jimmy are wearing this year!

BillyClyde 68 Sat Dec 13, 2008 10:30pm
