Thank you huge

From the time I started reffing BB I have used the short lanyard that clips on the little loop. Then one day I read here that one should have the regular lanyard as a backup in one's bag. So I bought one. I don't like it as well.

Tonight was my first game of the season. I'm R. I'm in the circle with ball in hand getting ready to tell everyone to hold their position, go to pull out my whistle and the loop is broken! My partner who has been reffing longer, came up and showed me to clip it on the edge of my collar. It stayed in place for the first half but it was nice to change to the other at the half.

Good thing because I didn't have my backup shirt with me either.

Game went well. I know what I need to work on and study to get my head in the game better for next time. But I did have a good time and a good game. But I'm also mentally in a different zone this year. LOL I called a PC when one player shoved her elbow into the defender. Vcoach told me to call it both ways. I opened my eyes wide and said, "Oh if I see it,I will. I don't like it when that happens." and smiled.

I smiled a lot tonight. I was really having a good time.

Rita,
It seems that, rather than a regular lanyard, one would want [for the fashion ploice]:

''SMITTY NOOSE'' Lanyard

Yup, Rita, try one of these. I still like the clip-to-the-loop ones best, but for back up the Smitty Noose is better than the regular "PE teacher" lanyard, which sways back and forth when I run and hits me in the face. Ugh.

You two ladies have not seen as many westerns as I have. I'm scared of anything called a"noose" especially when the crowd chants, I've got a rope, I've got a tree." ;) By the way, its good to see both of you two back on this forum again!
