Can you provide the question?

With the given information, I say it's false. 2-3 ;) |
While a player is attempting the free throws awarded for a T, the other 9 players must be behind the division line, in the offended team's backcourt.
I said false per 8-1-3 which states that when the ball is to become dead after the last free throw for a specific penalty is not successful, players shall not occupy any spaces along the free throw lane. It does not state exactly where they need to stand. That said - if I am not administering the FT - I am getting guys ready for the throw in - at the division line. |
It should be false.
|
Well, I was right for the wrong reason. ;)
It's false...this is a basketball myth - cue BillyMac. |

Yup - didn't read far enough.

8-1-3
8-1-3 does not address Technical fouls. I can not find no reference to technical foul administration.

Rule 8, Section 1, ART. 5 . . . Any player, other than the free thrower, who does not occupy a
marked lane space must be behind the free-throw line extended and behind the three-point line. |

So what's the rule on where they may stand? Outside the 3-point arc and behind the free throw line extended. Don't make it harder than it has to be. ;) |
Unfair if at halfcourt.
It would be unfair to one team if they had to stay on the other side of halfcourt because then only one teams coach could talk to them. It would be unfair to the teams coach on the end they are shooting on if they had to stay behind the division line. Have a good season! :D Kevin
