Funny you mention that. My supervisors grandaughters Girl Scout cookies came in yesterday. So at work, I eat 1 of the 2 boxes of those new sugar free chocolate chip cookies and take the other one home. Wife says, "Where's the other box? I say loooong gone! Then she shows me the side of the box that apparently is on most sugar free candy; WARNING: May have a laxative effect. Nice...two hours before season opening tip off.....

I just received a reply to thE email I sent to our state Supervisor of Game Officials. In regards to megaphones he stated simply..."THEY ARE NOT LEGAL."

Keep the empty box at the table as an authorized reason for having to leave the bench area quickly.

(I hope this is a sophmore game, to go with sophmoric humor that this thread has deteriorated towards...)

I don't know about most state associations, but I know Nebraska's has a list of items that are banned as artificial noisemakers at district and state competition. Some of us use that list to determine what we will accept as artificial noisemakers or not during the regular season. New addition to the list this year: latex balloons.
