Happy Thanksgiving Everybody ...

"When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the Lord your God for the good land he has given you." (Deuteronomy 8:10)

And be sure to pray for our the safety of our troops who are risking their lives to serve our country.

We'll be celebrating Turkey Day with the family, but one who will be absent is my niece's husband who is a Staff Sergeant in the US Army and stationed in Afghanistan. I'm sure we'll be saying extended prayers.

Hope everyone has a great day and that we pause to give thanks for all of our blessings.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

Also, this is usually the time the season gets into full swing. I wish everyone safe travels throughout their season.

Sorry. I was very busy that day, and forgot about it.

Jour d'action de grâce is a day of general thanksgiving to almighty God for the bountiful harvest with which Canada has been blessed to be observed on the second Monday in October. The first Thanksgiving celebration by Euro-peoples in North America was not in New England, but in Newfoundland, forty-two years before the Pilgrims.

Tomato or tomato? Potato, or potato? No. Wait. That doesn't work with a keyboard.

My daughter, a very young adult, traveled back, and forth, to London, England, by herself, several times over the past year doing HIV/AIDS research. I begged her to put a red maple leaf, national flag of Canada, sticker on her luggage. I heard that in this time of terrorism, it's an easy, simple, safety device. True?

What? You didn't know that? Isn't sorta near Dog River sorta in Canada? And you call yourself a Canadian? What kind of Canadian are you, anyway?

My son's girlfriend, who's here on a student visa, from China, had Thanksgiving dinner with our family. It was fun telling her about Plymouth Rock, the Pilgrims, freedom of religion, the Mayflower, the Native Americans teaching us how to plant a fish with the corn seed, and how to double down at blackjack.
