That doesn't happen very often...we have D-1 teams out here who schedule D-3 and even NAIA teams early on, but I can't remember any of the D-1 teams losing to the lower level teams. We had a perennial powerhouse D-2 Women's team beat a West Coast Conference team a few years back...does that count?

GVSU Beats MSU

DII Grand Valley beats MSU Spartans in 2 OT exhibition game.
MSU was preseason ranked #8 and ended up in the sweet 16.

The Chaminade upset of Ralph Sampson's Virginia team occurred in 1982. That was 26 years ago. That only seem like a few years ago to Back In The Saddle because for twenty, of those twenty-six years, he was in a coma, caused by a too many adult beverages, after too many games, with too many coaches, yelling too many unsporting comments to him.
