3PO vs 2PO officiating

Have to research this topic to present a paper to the Board of my association-can I ask for help with any sites for information?

Some facts and figures would be great-I can do all the cost analysis I like but the Board want data that will show it is good for game besides my suggestion!

Please specify what facts and figures you seek.

Foul counts? Distance covered by each official? Technical fouls called?
Off-ball fouls called? Violations called? Amount each official sweats?
Plays missed? Errors made? Amount paid to each official?

Well, here's 3PO:

I couldn't find a real good picture of 2PO.

Just to stay on-topic, I don't have numbers or a cost analysis, but I would submit that Division 1 colleges wouldn't pay an extra $1,200 or more if they weren't convinced that the extra official helped the game. Why don't the NBA and NCAA still use 2 officials? Because 3 clearly make for a better-called game.

Clearly the most obvious PRO is the ability to cover more of the court. Almost always there are 2 sets of eyes seeing the plays from different angles.

Try contacting the NCAA or your state board for information
they would have some archival information about the numbers

A year or two ago I found a study FIBA did on this that they published somewhere on the web. The one result I recall from that study was that the total mileage by a three person crew during a game was about the same as a two person crew.
