2008 - 2009 Rules Interps Situation 6
 
Situation 6 ruling is not precisely accurate in its last sentence. A2 will only attempt 3 free throws if the first 2 free throws are successful.

I always thought it used to be three to make two?
( wasn't that back in 1970 maybe)

OH THAT SCENARIO ... fouled on a three point attempt at the end of regulation or overtime down three points then that third Free throw really maters, but if he misses the first one ... we are done shooting.
