Anybody else seeing the word "permalink" next to the post number of each post? When I put the cursor over it, it says "link to this post". But when I click on it nothing happens.

Anybody else seeing this? And if so, what is it for?

I also just noticed that if I'm not logged in, there's no "forum jump" menu at the bottom of a thread. Very odd.

I see them, Scrapper.

I think vBulletin decided to create shorter URLs for wishing to link to individual posts and/or threads. The URL format for a thread now includes the thread number and the subject, rather than no subject and the thread number a parameter to a "get" variable (viewthread.php?threadnumber=x).

I do not recall what release OF.com after Brad did that major upgrade a couple months back, but I am 99.99% certain that is wasn't 3.7.3, which is the version now.

In addition, the URL format for linking to individuals posts has changed. (Mouse over the #1, #2, #3, etc... to the left of the "permalink" you mention.)

I just saw the word this morning, but hadn't tried to use it yet.

Reply With Quote, Possible Problem ???

I began noticing another change yesterday. When I reply, with a quote from a previous post, and click on Submit Reply, I'm brought back to the first post in the thread. I believe that, in the past, when I replied with a quote from a previous post, I was brought back to the most recent post, which was my post, with the quote. Am I doing something wrong, or is this happening to everybody, or am I imagining the way things worked in the past?

Twilight Zone ???

It also happens when I simply reply, and add to the thread, without a quote to complicate things.

That's not happening to me. I still see the most recent post in the thread after clicking "submit".

Actually, I'm getting the same results as Billy - after posting a reply it takes me back to the first post on the page. Not a big deal, but I have to scroll down to see if my post is actually there.
