HAHA! That one just made my night...

The best sign I ever saw was on a television broadcast of a UCLA - USC basketball game. A UCLA student held one up that said, "FLUSH USED TROJANS". :D

Hey Mark, as long as your doing Sarah Palin quotes in your signature how about a few of Joe Biden's?

I think Mark is pretty left-leaning politically, so I don't know if he's willing to make fun of Biden. My favorite, though, is his assertion that FDR went on TV to reassure Americans during the Great Depression. :) How many times can you be wrong in one sentence?

And I'll leave the plagiarism stuff to somebody who's feeling really mean.

:D Just thought it could use repeating. :)

Actually, I'm a true political moderate. And just to stop this and other threads jumping into the political arena, I'll go ahead and change my signature to something non-political.

BTW - I've been very active politically, mostly with the Democratic party, although I have openly supported some Republicans and Independents along the way. The first presidential campaign I was involved in was back in 1968. O.K. - back to basketball.

"Prologue, August 29, 1968" and "Someday (August 29, 1968)"

I know. Someday I'll write my memoirs about it. Here's some highlights from 1968:

A friend of mine and I ran a local headquarters for Eugene McCarthy in south Cook County.

At the convention in Chicago, I was pushed through a plate glass window by the Chicago police at a nearby restaurant along with about 50 other people - I wasn't hurt, though.

I was interviewed by a reporter from the CBS television station in Chicago and the interview was also shown on the CBS Evening News with Walter Cronkite.

I got to meet Senator McCarthy and had dinner with him. He's one of four presidential candidates I've had dinner with in my life.

While visiting my girlfriend on the Purdue campus in Indiana, I was picked up and questioned by the FBI because there were campus "riots" that weekend and I had out of state (Illinois) license plates. When I proved I was just there to visit a girl, they let me go.

It was a different time in America, all right.

OK - back to basketball.
