Gee, I didn't see this coming. Does it fall to Ryan now?

Love this quote from the story:
"The last time a coach had been fired this early in the season was when Davis got rid of Mike Shanahan after four games in 1989."

I think the job goes to Ryan. He seems to be Al Davis' little toadie these days.

Maybe, should last about 2 seasons.

If that. Al Davis is borderline senile these days, if in fact he isn't already.

Job went to the Offensive Line Coach. Tom Cable is the new head coach.

I don't think so, personally. The key was his use of the word "Gee". Grown men rarely talk like that, so it had to be significant. It was subtle, but effective. I didn't take his comment seriously for even a moment.
