Premier Basketball League Officials

Has anyone worked the semi pro PBL? If so, how did it go? What were the game fees etc.?

I didn't even know this league existed. I went and googled it and it seems...interesting to put it mildly. Apparently the officials uniform consists of a t-shirt, pants, and pink whistles. At least that's what I gathered from the picture of the officials they had up.

Hey newbie. Welcome to the Forum. How about posting the image of these officials with their T-shirts, and pink whistles for us all to view? Just find the image on the internet, right click on the image, left click Properties, highlight and Copy the URL of the image, come back to this thread on the Forum, left click Reply, type something about the image, put the cursor where you want the image, left click on the "Mountain In A Box" image above, put your cursor on the highlighted blue part, left click Paste, left click Submit Reply and you're done. Easy as pie. Jurassic Referee, one of our Forum esteemed members, taught me how to do this. If an esteemed member like Jurassic Referee shows you how to do something, then it must be OK to do. At first I couldn't figure out how to post images, but it was easy after he showed me how to do it. He's a great teacher. I'm sure that he's proud of what I've learned from him. And, when you figure out how to post images, I'll be proud to have been your teacher.

You'll immediately feel a sense of euphoria. You may want to do it again. That's normal. Don't fight it. Go ahead and do it again, and again, and again. Each time you'll feel better, and better. You may want to start posting slightly off topic images. That's just normal. Don't fight it. Eventually you'll become so proficient at this that you'll get a major rush posting inane, irrelevant, idiotic, and annoying images. After that, you're on your own. Have fun.

Sorry Jon, I've never heard of it either. Your name includes "canuck", so I'm wondering if the league is based in Canada?

No, its an Americal league, made up primarily of teams from the ABA who, for various reasons, struck out and created their own league. The league will, however, have Canadian teams this year. Most teams are in the NE US. Rochester won the league last year.

As for the uniform:

Probably not a tshirt, more of a jersey shirt judging by the underarm stripe on the ref at the left.

I note pleated, beltless slacks. Standard issue Sans-a-belt by the look of them.

As for the pink whistle...perhaps it's standard issue. But some groups use them in conjunction with a cancer awareness/charity deal. Perhaps the picture was taken during such an event.

As for their age, I supposed you're never too young to start :D

The official on the right is cute, and no ring on her left ring finger, but that's a topic for another thread.
