Varsity draw

Does anybodys HS association do a draw for the varsity schedule?

If so, have you ever participated in doing the actual draw?

How does the process work?

Thanks in advance!

Nope. We get our games from assignors/conferences.

Peace

Same here JRut, but the assignors get together & draw officials names to work their leagues/conferences.

How do your assignors pick officials for games? And what if multiple assignors choose the same official on the same night for different locations?

HS Association. One assignor. If you get assignments from other supervisors--whether they be Rec League, Military Intramurals, college--then you had better close those dates out.

I'll be finding out this year; a little bit higher than a mile, if you know what I mean. Made my decision. I may be too late for the draw, though, but we'll see. At best, I may get some fill-in assignments. Gonna have to get into some men's league ball, probably, to get my face seen.

They call you up and give you a game. Or you send availability (date) to them and they give you dates based on that availability. There is not concern of being sent to the different places.

Now with the usage of Assign By Web and the Arbiter, they might fill dates if all that information is listed on the website. But it is ultimately up to me when and where I go during the season. If I do not want to work for someone, I do not take games from them.

Peace

I see, thanks JRut. We're using the arbiter for the first time this season.
