arbiter.net question
Hey, our association is using this for the first time and I just got my first assignments today. When I click on a specific game, there's a column that says "distance" and then has a number value. Can someone tell me what that means? Thanks!

I don't know how Arbiter calculates it, but it isn't always accurate. |

Don't any of you get paid mileage from the school/conference?

To summarize previous discussions: Some areas do, some areas don't. Of those that do, some pay one driver, some pay all. Some pay one way, some pay round trip. Some pay for all mileage, some for any mileage in excess of some number (e.g., mileage paid for miles above 25). Some pay one rate, some pay another. Some areas even pay at a third rate. ... |
I believe Arbiter just calculates distance as-the-crow-flies from the center of your listed address to the center of the zip code of the destination, but I could be wrong on that.
We are paid a set amount, based on the distance from our association's business address to the site, but it's nowhere near what the IRS allows us to deduct, so we can deduct the difference as far as I'm told. |

That is what I've been told as well. I also think if you are able to put mileage restraints in, that it comes from the zip code for that day instead of your home zip, if they are different. |
