decent read for officials

Over the weekend I read The Punch about the Kermit Washington/Rudy T incident in the 70's. As an official, it was a great underline to the fact that every play matters and we should be on our A game as often as possible. Both of these men have had life-long consequences over and incident that possibly could have been handled better on the floor by the officials (the main problem from my point of view was the fact that they were a 2 man crew at that point). Hopefully none of us will have an ugly incident like that to deal with on our floors, but it was a great reminder that we need to keep our focus at all times.

As far as the book itself, I found it to be a little repetitive at times, but not a bad sports book.

They could have had an eight man crew on that game and it wouldn't have stopped that incident. Washington just snapped.

As an official, I don't think that the officiating was a factor in that incident in any way.
