OT: Diebler

How many times has he been on the podium? I know he is in multiple events.

Simultaneously, of course.

I know he really pi$$ed off the French in that swimming relay. Good thing they ammended the rules to allow him to swim all four legs of the relay.

Is this some kind of "French eating frogs legs" joke? If so, it's funny. :)

BTW - besides winning every gold medal, Diebler is also the Chairman of the IOC!

Oh yeah - did you see the video of Bush talking to the Russian president? He was saying, "Ya' know, I just ate half an hour ago and I'm hungry already."

I can't believe they didn't use him for the balance beam and floor routines last night.

Unusual: Every Chinese restaurant I have frequented serves Pepsi, not Coke. I wonder if the Olympic sponsorship by Coke will change any of that.

Ya' know, President Bush once wanted to try out for the US Olympic team. However, they don't have a competition for javelin catching. :D

Saw an interesting interview with him last night on CNBC. Said if they would have invited him to China a week earlier he could have "cleared up the minor air quality issue they seem to have over there."

The better video I saw was of Bush sitting there with his arm around the beach volleyball players. He looked like a kid in a candy store. Where was Laura?

He flew her in later, like any red blooded American male. He was also smart enough to fly her in seperately from Diebler's plane (Air Force Three; just a bit larger than Air Force One.)

She was at the State Dept. making sure they didn't issue a visa to Monica Lewinsky. :p

I saw a video where one of the beach volleyball players, wearing her two piece bathing suit, invited President Bush to give her a good luck slap on her rear, bending over to accept the slap. The President looked like a deer caught in the headlights, but was able to recover quickly and give her a slap, with the back side of his hand, not his palm, on her lower back. Chivalry is not dead yet.

Is that is the measure that chivalry is not dead, single women everywhere are crying!
