Videos/DVD's/Audio

I remember few years back that you could buy audio tapes or CD's of clinic lectures.

Lately I have seen on youtube clips of various D1 officials (Dave Libbey to name but one), conducting clinics, or lecture sessions within clinics.

Does anyone know where it may be possible to buy copies of these sessions?

Referee magazine used to sell the audio tapes (or NASO versions) but I cannot find the lectures that I mentioned from youtube on any website/webpage.

Of course I am willing to pay for these, but if anyone can help point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

Thanks.

limeyref.

Unless I am missing something the website that you directed me to has set pieces recoded for that website.

I am interested in getting DVD's of people such as Dave Libbey, Verne Harris and Lonnie Dixon. You can find these recordings, or clips of them on you tube.

These are from actual clinics, not recorded as an interview for the website.

Although it cost me $49.95 to discover this may not be the website that I need, this is still an interesting resource, so all is not lost.

........unless it is somehere that I cannot see, if anyone else can help please let me know.

This is the kind of thing I am really looking for, in full:

I know where you can get some videos of Dee Kantner, but they're not officiating videos.

Just kidding.

EOfficials.com is free and actually has a full recording of one of the NCAA clinics from last year. It's broken down into segments.

Actually, having registerec free, I cannot get any of the member ares for less than $49.95 - which as I said, is not actually a problem.

However I have mentioned already what I AM looking for........thanks MARK but I will pass :-)))

I understand that you may be directing me to NCAA clinics?

Are these the same as the ones that I have listed? If they are there I cannot see them, although there are some interesting other videos..........

I am specifically looking for the type of clips (links already posted) that I listed, if thye are owned by the ref or camp director, I am happy to go to them, if I can find out how.........

Why these particular three?

BTW are you aware of this?

Kind of rude don't you think NevadaRef?

You think one mistake ruins an official's career? Plus, we don't know the whole story from a newspaper article.

I bet if there were newspapers covering the games that you worked you'd eventually find one of your mistakes in print.

Mark Padgett Wed Aug 13, 2008 04:55pm

Anyone know where I can get a video of that game in which Dick Bavetta worked wearing only a thong?

I think I can get about $2 for it on ebay.

Not trying to be rude at all, Brad. I'm providing information to someone about a person whom he seems to desire to use as a model for his officiating.

The central issue is not the mistake of having an inadvertant whistle, but rather the fact that he refused to own up to it. Dixon denied blowing the whistle on the play until video/audio evidence came out which unequivocally showed that he did. It is an integrity issue. Thus I wanted limeyref to be aware of this, so that he could make a decision about whether or not this is a person after whom he wishes to pattern his game.

Maybe he really didn't think that he blew the whistle. I'm sure that you and he had a long discussion about this though and you heard his side of things, right?

Oh, you're just going off what is in the newspaper. Gotcha.

You should really think first next time before smearing an official on this board -- that doesn't sit well with me at all.

Nevadaref Thu Aug 14, 2008 05:23pm

Nope, sorry Brad, but I'm going by what the MWC investigators concluded.

Please recall that ONLY Lonnie Dixon was suspended for two games and forbidden from working that conference tournament.

No conference would do that to an official for simply making a mistake. They did it because he lied. He acted in an unethical manner as an official and that doesn't sit well with me.
