A1 dribbles down court and losing his dribble of his foot thus becoming 'interupted', he/she then recovers ball and dribbles again. This was an AAU Tourney and I just didn't blow the whistle but I was lazy I think. This is a double dribble correct? NO defender touched the ball at all.

Define "recovers the ball" If he grabs the ball, i.e. ends the dribble then he cannot dribble again. If he just taps the ball down as if to continue the dribble then this is legal. You can fumble, dribble, fumble. But, you cannot dribble, fumble, dribble.
