Z,

I posted a thread with this same topic a while ago. I don't know if it will help you, but here's the link:

Team Control Foul signal -- NCAA

I think you have to give some indication at the table that you're not going to shoot free throws. If your assignor doesn't like the PC signal (as mine does not), probably best to verbalize "team control" at the table.

That has worked for me so far.

Peace
That's exactly why we need a TC signal because we have guys from all over the states using different mechanics.

I don't thinks it's that big an issue. I think at the NCAA level most officials know whether or not a team is in the bonus.

The signal isn't only for the officials working the game, but it's a tool to communicate with players, coaches, and the score-table. I know we careless about the fans, but to some extend for them as well.

Sh!t, I can't the get TC mechanics straight for my HS games. I'm more effective with loudly yelling "offensive" on the spot and "team control" when reporting.

I know that you do but, unfortunately, you haven't been assigned to any games where I've kept the book.

You would be confused with the PC signal?

Peace

No, JRut. He said UNfortunately you don't work his games. He would like the officials on the floor to give some indication -- either the PC or TC signal -- but they don't in his area. So he was wishing that you worked games closer to him.

What Scrapper said.

Frankly, I don't care if the official gives the hand behind the head, a fist punch, or just says "offensive," "Team control," or "player control." If I'm not certain that it was one of those categories, I'm going to let you know that we should be shooting bonus FTs.
