We receive cards from the Virginia High School League (VHSL) that shows which sport we are registered in. When I was also officiating soccer, I had 2 cards and they were different colors (each year is a different color). The card does not not have an ID number on it but we get the cards after we take the annual exam. I use it to get into games that I am not officiating and it is usually good up through district (and sometimes regional) playoffs. We can also purchase what is called a VHSL State Event Card (think that is right) for $10.00 and it allows me to get into any state level playoff game regardless of the sport. This is a heck of a deal because the state level playoff games are usually $6.00 - $7.00 a pop. When we get to the state semi-finals and finals, there are 4 games on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, so you can see the price is excellent.
