help with a call
During a game this past weekend, team A was down 5 points with about 30 seconds left. A player from team A fouled a player from team B (which was in the bonus already). After the whistle, a second player from team B came over to the player who was fouled and pushed them with two hands intentionally as if not to hear the whistle.
I hit the player with an intentional flagrant foul? Was this the correct call? Thank you |
I would have to see the severity of the push to determine flagrant or not.

Given that the ball was dead, it should be a technical foul. Whether you ruled it intentional or flagrant is up to you, but it affects whether or not you eject the player. The other key is to remember that since the ball is dead, any player may shoot the free throws for the 2nd foul, and the ball will be given to the shooting team at the division line. |
Is it possible to foul your own teammate?

I am assuming if it was one team mate on another then simply ejecting the offender would be the best course of action. If the push was malicious then that is what I would have done.

If it's not a punch or kick, but "only" a shove, I'm probably going with the intentional technical.
