3-Man Mechanics Differences, NFHS vs. NCAA?
Are there differences in mechanics in 3-man officiating in NFHS and college? Specifically, are there differences in how officials switch after a foul is reported to the table?

That said, for foul reporting NFHS and NCAA-W are the same (go tableside when reporting), while NCAA-M go away from the table after reporting. NCAA-W uses 2-hand reporting, NFHS and NCAA-M use 1-hand. |
So in NCAA-M, if the L calls a foul and goes to the table to report and then goes opposite the table, how do the T and C move?

And if the calling official was opposite the table, he reports and then goes back to his same position and no one else switches?

I'm not sure how long you've been officiating, but in NCAA-M the mechanics are going back to what they were before "table-side" reporting was instituted 3 or 4 seasons ago. There are some other differences in areas of coverage between officials. |

If the calling official was the C and he was opposite, he'd go back opposite, right? Of course then he'd be the new T. But the non-calling officials would stay put, yes?

He also didn't say if it was a technical foul, flagrant foul, intentional foul, common foul but in the bonus, team control foul... |
