Just moved to Oklahoma

Hey guys, I've moved again. This time to Lawton, OK. I'm between Lawton and Oklahoma City. Are there any other OK officials who can steer me in the right direction? i.e., what association covers this area and who to get in touch with? Thanks.

I've been doing HS basketball since 1996 in NY, NC, GA and now OK. :)

jhawk -

I've learned to adapt and see the good in change....what's nice about this area is that things are more laid back and friendly than NY/NC/GA.

I did find out the name of the Association in my area (Wichita Mtns) and spoke with the contact person. He seems like a nice guy. I'm gonna register for camp at OSU in June.

Thanks for responding.

You might get to work some good AAU ball. The team from Oklahoma (Athlete's First) just took 2nd place in the Nike AAU tournament we had here this weekend in Hampton.

If you're up for that kind of punishment you might have better luck finding an MAYB tourney handy... Quality usually isn't nearly as good though, but more tourney's in the mid west...

Don't know if it is, but I'll find out. All I know is that it is held at OSU in June.

If it's Eddie's, you won't find a better one for the money even if it is a little pricey. Lots of Big 12 guys as clinicians. I'm in St. Louis the weekend of his OSU camp, so I'm going the following weekend. Somewhere out side of OKC.

Someone in California. They hold secret meetings.

Just about anyplace is more laid back, and friendly, than New York, and most of the rest of the Northeast. I can't speak about Georgia, never been there. I can't understand how you found North Carolina to be anything else but laid back, and friendly. I vacationed there, on the barrier islands, for a few weeks, about 15 years ago, and found North Carolinians to be as friendly, and laid back, as anyone I've ever met. I found the same to be true for Virginians. I guess Oklahomaians must be really, really, really laid back, and friendly.

I remember these guys. They were the starting five for the Mayberry Goobers. The team colors were red and neck. The team cheer was, "We're the Goobers. Y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all, y'all.
