Official working NCAA & NIT

Does anyone know if officials work both the NCAA and NIT tournaments? I've never thought about this before this year, since I just started officiating, but now am wondering. Thanks. :)

It has been a common practice for guys to be working both the NCAA and the NIT. And now, since the NCAA owns the NIT it can't be avoided.

From what I have seen in the past, those who work the early round games in the NIT do NOT work the NCAA tournament and some of the people who work the first couple of rounds of the NCAAs, but do not get selected for the later rounds end up working at MSG for the last few games of the NIT.

I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure I saw Jim Burr working a 1st round NIT game. I could be wrong again, but I'm assuming he'll get at least a semi in the NCAA's

Jim Burr was doing an NIT game this week. The rumour is that he is ineligible for the NCAA tournament because of a paper work glitch. Don't know if that's a fact.

Gotta love red tape.

Welmer worked a 1st round NIT game at the University of Florida. I would imagine he will get some action in the big boy tournament.

Bryan Kersey and Karl Hess each worked NIT games prior to working NCAA first round games. This seems to be a change from past practice where officials didn't work NIT games until they were done working in the NCAA tourney.
