Playing and officiating in state championship game
 

While watching a state championship game this past weekend I noticed one of the officials who had played on a state championship team 18 years ago in the same state. Does anybody here know someone with a similar experience?

I know of at least 2 guys right off the top of my head in our association, and at least one other that has coached in and officiated in state championship games (no not at the same time :) LOL )

Jon Deibler played, coached, and officiated on the same day last season. But that was in Ohio, they have different rules.

True, but you can bet your Dexter that he got the last second shot right; and didn't need to consult with his silly partners, either.

The union insisted they hire three refs. Diebler brought in two rookies of his own choosing, though, in order to give them the experience. He was very magnanimous.

That reminds me, my Bush/Cheney 2008 bumper sticker should be coming soon. I can't wait.
