Camps?

Been lurking here a while. Appreciate the discussions. I have learned a lot. I'm a first-year HS official (couple years experience with rec and youth league in the past) and I am looking to learn and improve and advance as quicky as possible. I am assuming a camp would be advisable this summer.

Can anyone give feedback on the UNC-Charlotte camp? When will the information for this summer's camp be available? What are the other camp options in the NC, SC, Va area?

Thanks in advance....

This is where I'm going this summer. My supervisor said it was an excellent entry-level college camp with great instruction.

Also, Mike Eades & Roger Ayers run a camp in Roanoke, Va around July. No website, though.

Not sure which side you're looking for, men's or women's.

Women's side: www.sawbo.org (ACC, Colonial, Southern and Big South) camp in April.

Tommy Salerno does his camp in Charlotte (NC JUCO) and I think the Peach Belt Conference is part of that camp. That camp is 2nd to the last weekend in June.

Yeah, but they don't hold it at VT anymore..at least they didn't last year. It was a Roanoke College. That could have been because of the shootings, though.

George Toliver's Pro-Active camp is unbelieveable and the price is great for all you get.

You better get your money in now if you are going to SAWBO, that camp fills up very quickly.

I'm sure this has been posted before for camps to look up in your area:

Be a sponge a listen & learn. Then apply and take what will enhance your officiating and work hard.
