Traveling Question.
A little confused.
Player A1 jumps, grabs rebound, falls to floor. Traveling. Player A1 jumps to catch a pass, falls to the floor. Traveling Player A1 looking to pass the ball, falls to the floor. Traveling. Now, A1 dives for a loose ball and slides after gaining control. A1 is in a position either on his/her back or stomach. This is not traveling. Where does the line get drawn between 'jumping to catch' and 'diving for'? Can player A1 dive/jump horizontally, steal a pass, and fall to the floor? |

Read the definition.
A player holding the ball may not touch the floor with a knee or any other part of the body other than hand or foot. |
Thanks.
those 3 answers cleared it up in my noggin.
Its funny how there are gaps in understanding of rules. One less gap in my understanding now. 734 to go! |
