Curtis Shaw
Does he still work in the SEC? If not why, he is a great official.

I see him working ACC games, although it's not his primary conference. The Big 12 is his primary schedule.
|
He is up to 93 games so far this year.http://www.bbstate.com/officials.php?o=86

The "Right" Question ...
Before retiring from teaching, I used a similar "joke" many times to impress upon my students the importance of asking the "right" question. I was a science teacher, and the first step of the Scientific Method is to identify the problem, but more importantly, to identify a specific problem and not be too general.
Student: "Mr. Billy Mac, do you know what time it is?" Mr. Billy Mac: "Yes" Pause Student: "Could you please tell me the correct time?" Mr. Billy Mac: "12:15 p.m." Another "teacher" joke: Student: "Mr. Billy Mac, could I please borrow a tissue?" Mr. Billy Mac: "No. You can keep it. I don't want if back after you use it". |

Coach: "I want your name!" Ref: "Why? Don't you have one of your own?" Coach: "I want your name!" Ref: "If I give you mine, then I wouldn't have one." Coach: "I want your name!" Ref: "My name is Nunuvyur Dambidness". Coach: "That was the worst officiated game ever!" Ref: "That's impossible, coach." Coach: "Why is that impossible?" Ref: "Because the odds are too great that the worst officiated game ever and the worst coached game ever would occur in the same game." |

How much do the officials get for the tourneys?
|
Quote:
Honestly, I have no idea if most conference tourneys pay more than for their regular season games or not... |
I have been told, that officials that work post tournaments (conference, NCAA, NIT) actually take a hit pay wise from the regular season rate.

I've heard that FEEBLE games pay in metric Euros. They're trapezoidal shaped and can be used only to buy snails for meals.
