from an editorial by George Will, Washington D.C.
Body Mass Index : Divide your weight in pounds by the square of your height in inches, then multiply by 703. If the resulting number is below 25 you are not over-weight. If it is 25 to 29 you, like 34% of Americans aged 20 to 74. are over-weight. If your BMI number is 30 or higher you, like 27% of adults, have super-sized yourself. You are obese. |

|
26.73...... Pretty good little test, I think. I would consider myself 5-10 lbs. overweight. Too much Corona.
|
sheesh!!
I guess I'm an idiot. I can't figure it out.
Someone help me please. I'm 188 pounds. And I'm 74.5 inches. I'll patiently "weight" on the answer. :) |

Mine comes out to 24.9 -- think I will go get a doughnut.:D |
The problem with body mass index is that is doesn't
take into consideration how much of your MASS is lean muscle. So in theory, you could be "overweight" by BMI standards, when in actuality, you could be in an "excellent" category when it comes to body fat %. |
Not pleased with the results?

By the way, mine is 25.71.
But according to my body fat, I am in "excellent" condition. 38 years old, with around 13%. (I know, could be better.) |
