Goaltending or not?

Player A shoots and B1 touches the ball on it way up. The ball contiues toward the basket when B2 touches it above the rim on its downward flight. The ball is not in the cylinder, but has a chance to go in. Goaltending or no goaltending and defend by rule.

It's goal tending. The try hasn't ended yet.

It is goaltending. The ball is above the rim, on its downward flight, and has a chance to go in. The touch by B1 does not affect the call, if that's what you are getting at.

I've got goaltending. The try hasn't ended.

The ruling is goaltending 4-22. Goaltending occurs when a player touches the ball during a field goal try or tap while it is in its downward flight entirely abbove the basket ring level and has the possibility of entering the basket in flight...

The touching by B1 is irrelevant... 4-41-4 the try ends when the throw is successful, when it is certain the throw is unsuccessful, when the thrown ball touches the floor or when the ball becomes dead.

But if the high school was named Ting Tang in Walla Walla.....and Walla Walla was on the island of Bing Bang.....the high school would be Ting Tang Walla Walla Bing Bang.

They'd probably call their teams the Witch Doctors.

Goaltendning, it's still an attempt for a goal
How about this one
A1 shoots for 3 points
B1 (who is in the 2 point area) touches the ball
basket is good
2 or 3 points?
