Camp

I know it's a bit early (we haven't even began post-season here) but does anyone have feedback, thoughts about being a camper @ Marlas:

Thanks in advance

This camp will be filled at roughly 100+ campers.
This camp sold out in less than a day last year.
What a joke. No way.

I agree. At that price with that number of campers, you're just a number making money for someone else. Sure, you'll get some useful tips but none you couldn't get with a smaller less expensive camp....and at one that you'd have a change of actually being seen....if that's your goal.

Question for all:

What is the most # of campers have you seen in one camp?

Yeah, my feedback would be to tell her that the correct terminology is "First Come, First Served". She has it wrong on in multiple places on the website. I wouldn't attend a camp that uses improper grammar.

It's a pretty decent teaching camp - I can only speak for my personal experiences. As far as getting "seen" and possibly hired - the chances are not very high. You have to either already be known or wind up working on one of the courts being observed by one of her "senior" people. If one of them puts in a good word, she will make a point to come and watch you. If you're wanting to be "seen" and try to move up - this camp is great if you are from certain areas where she needs officials - if you're not from one of the areas where she has schools - go to a different camp.

I'm quite sure I can Google this but...Where is a good source to locate camps if a guy were interested in going to one?

Do you have to be state licensed to attend these generally?

Nevermind...I looked around this site and found some info...
