A fellow official recently received an official's magazine, forgot name of it which includes an article of refs being just a fan while watching a game, rather than commenting to whomever regarding ref's performance.

Does this article ring a bell with anyone? I'm looking for a link or posting of said article.

Yeah, it was in Referee Magazine last year. The article has a stream of pictures showing an official morphing into an arm-chair quarterback.

Full is correct. The current Spring 08 issue of Officials Quarterly has an article "Official or Fan". Basically states what I think most of us already know.
