Off topic but great cause
 

Guys - my wife is a volunteer for the Make A Wish Foundation. I'm sure you know all about it. If you click on the link below, then just click on the big button that will appear, you will add to the number of clicks and get us closer to a donation. It doesn't cost you anything and you don't go on any list. You just click. In fact, you can click as many times as you like. We're trying to get to a million clicks. The promotion is sponsored by a local Portland radio station.

How long did that take you? With my connection it took so long to "refresh" after each click, I only completed 5.

Just a few minutes. It definitely didn't refresh instantly, but it only took a second or two.

If you change the number at the end of the post, it appears to increment the number even more. Not that you'd want to do this, but I wonder why it would be designed this way....

It doesn't change anything. It defaults back to 1. If, when you click, it seems to add more than 1 it's because others are clicking at the same time.

Wrote a very little perl program to get you about 200 clicks/minute! :) I've set it to run 10000 clicks! ;)

It went from about 157,000 to over 160,00 in the 10 minutes that I was clicking.

I just clicked a bunch of times and put us over 225,000. Almost 1/4 of the way there and we have about 3 more weeks to hit 1,000,000 to get the $10,000 donation. Thanks again guys for all your help.

Guys - not only are we closer to 1,000,000 clicks, but I'm almost at 6666 posts! I need to get a life. At least, that's what my wife tells me. :o
