Worked with an official from Portland last weekend. Had some nice things to say about rainmaker. Of course after having worked with him, I'm not sure of his credibility.;)

Name? Real tall guy named Pete.

Actually said rainmaker was a real motivated official with alot of potential. So any and all of you who answers rainmakers topics. She's working real hard to get better.

Said he also knows Cameron Rust. Heard of Mark Padgett.

Pete - he's the 5'19" guy, right??? Pete's a good man...and rainmaker IS a very motivated official who is now and will continue to move up the ranks...

Yep! that's him. Work with him and Bart at Western Baptist.

Was that the Western vs. SOU game??? If so, I have the rematch (with Bart also) on Friday night...any advice??

Ron Pilo Wed Feb 20, 2002 04:43pm

It will be a physical game. Have fun.

That's kinda what I figured...

My gosh, I'm flattered, a little dumb-founded. It feels particularly good at this moment, since today I am smarting from an insult I received last night regarding my work. I won't go into the whole shaggy dog story that led up to it, but it really hit me hard, so a little affirmation feels like balm to the wound. Thanks for the strokes, folks!

Rockyroad -- I'll be working up your way, soon, and I expect to hear some more helpful advice the next time I see you!

In addition to being a great basketball official, rainmaker also liberally paraphrases Click and Clack and Arlo Guthrie (sp?)!

Who could ask for anything more? :)

Juulie - tell me who insulted you and I'll puke on his shoes. Unless, of course, it was Josh. Then I'll just send him to his room without supper.

Mark, as I keep reminding you, HER, HER, HER shoes!

I worked last night with Lea B and Pat M from your side of the river...they also had nice things to say...so whoever insulted you, both you AND Mark go puke on his/her shoes!!

You mean Howard put two of you together and it was a "fellow" woman who insulted you?

Must have been a chickball game. :D

I'll have his girlfriend do it. ;)

Mark -- it wasn't a woman ref. There may be one or two out there who think negative things, but they have all been too kind to say them. I'll e-mail you about all the gory details. Maybe a good gossip would help me feel better aobut the whole thing.
