Anyone Tried These Shoes?
These shoes came out not to long ago, but look like a nice officiating shoe. Anyone picked up a pair of these yet?

They are mesh, that's a big no-no.

I don't work regular season HS games so I can get away with wearing shoes that are not all black.....These are what I bought this year and they are VERY comfy! Especially with the $20 inserts I purchased with them.

Oh, and avoiding injury due to wearing poor shoes just because others wear them is a sign of professionalism as well. |

Like it or not, officiating is about perception and if one ref has leather, shiny shoes and one has mesh dull ones mesh ref starts the game with one strike. |

My assignor is a 13-year veteran varsity official and has been doing D-1 for seven years as well. He wears mesh. So, obviously, someone "professional" disagrees with you. |
Here are what I got this year. A Sharpie and black shoe polish take care of the back. They are very comfortable and have offered plenty of cushioning. I haven't heard any problems from supervisors (the majority of shoe is a suede-like material, doesn't polish), but many questions about where to get them from partners.

I almost purchased these shoes for this year, but did not want to pay the original $149 when they debuted.

Are you suggesting that being a short egg-shaped official with non-mesh shoes means you're professional? |
