I was on TV on Friday night...
 

...for a locally televised "Game of the Week". While the novelty of being of TV was fun, I got several calls from friends after I got home wanting to talk about the game.

My favorite comment was from the assignor who said that he heard that the camera added 10 lbs to you, but after seeing me on tv, that they must have used two and a half cameras on me. :eek:

I guess it is time to hit the treadmill...

On that rare occasion when I see someone with a camera, I ask them to get my good side, make me look tall, handsome, and miminmize the size of my schnoz! Usually I see them packing it up after that! ;)

Congrats stripes, that is exciting. I made it on TV for a game of the week while working football this season. It was my first Varsity game and the fifth regular game of my career. Needless to say I felt a little overwhelmed. :eek:

Looked like blue 3 was pushed by White 10!

I had a double whistle on that one (I was T) and I had a defensive foul, but the L had already called a PC while I just held my fist in the air to make sure we didn't blarge ourselves. We talked about the play after the game and I told my partner I had a different call. What do you do? It was over by then.

Stripes - I didn't see you hike up your pants once! I was sooo dissappointed!!

Gotta work on that if you want to be on TV every other day!!! :D

Stripes, which one of the cheerleaders were you? BTW - I had a little trouble watching the video. Every time one of the officials came on camera, there was some kind of reflection. :p

that reflection off of my head can be brutal on the spectators!!! :cool:

I dunno, stripes. Looks like you called an OOB without giving the raised hand first. There are those on this board who might advocate 50 lashes with a wet noodle for that one.

That is what they have been talking about - the stop clock signal. If that is the smallest thing to talk about everything is good. But who am I to talk since I don't remember the last time I used it either. :D

You guys had a lot of "And 1s" in that clip. Your partner took a call to the table where you had a whistle at C and it was your call. I'm glad to know that happens other places too.

If it is the biggest thing to talk about, then everything is good. But if it's the smallest, then you're saying that there are other bigger things that need fixing.
